A Claude Code skill that performs automated Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) heuristic evaluations. Point it at any UI and get structured feedback based on Nielsen’s 10 usability heuristics.
How It Works
Install as a Claude Code skill, then run /hci-review on any component or page. The skill systematically evaluates:
- Visibility of system status
- Match between system and real world
- User control and freedom
- Consistency and standards
- Error prevention
- Recognition rather than recall
- Flexibility and efficiency of use
- Aesthetic and minimalist design
- Help users recognize, diagnose, and recover from errors
- Help and documentation
Each heuristic gets a severity rating and actionable recommendations.
